Yikes, look at all those wires. Though this looks like a bit of a mess, this is an easy system if you follow the cords. In this post, I'll give you three videos to watch that will detail all you need to know to easily create a hard wired internet system in your home.
When I tell people to hard wire their internet, I get the deer in the headlights look, so I decided to make three videos, showing in detail what I mean. I can come to your home and measure EMF fields. I can tell you how to hardwire and give an instruction sheet on how to hardwire, but I can't be there when you actually roll up your sleeves and do all the work.
So here are the video tutorials.
A couple things I want to mention is that most people assume their wifi router is just a router. It is, in actuality, both a modem and a router in one unit. Here I have two distinct machines, a router and modem, so I hope that clears any confusion.
The other thing I want to mention is always check with your internet service provider that you can actually use your own modem and ask them what is the most compatible ETHERNET modem. Tell them you want to hardwire with a modem that has no wifi. If you go to the internet and check their list, it may not be up to date. You want to speak with a live person for this, so you don't waste your money buying a modem that doesn't work.
Benefits to hardwiring: No modem fee, more secure, more reliable, more safe.
